At iPac, we are always striving to iterate and improve upon our daily processes and drive new growth. With this goal in mind, we are proud to reflect on our successful partnership with Made Smarter UK via the North East Growth Hub.
This collaboration has resulted in the implementation of a new Warehouse Management System (WMS), significantly improving the day-to-day operational efficiency of the business.
Through our prosperous partnership with Made Smarter UK, we received grant funding and access to expert support with which we were able to integrate the new WMS into our existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
The new WMS incorporates barcoding and traceability features, enabling us to better track and manage our inventory. This has resulted in enhanced stock accuracy, improved productivity, and improved communication across departments.
The implementation of the new WMS has brought about significant benefits. For example, transitioning from our reliance on Excel to manage our warehouse has reduced the need for manual data entry and freed up employees so that they can instead focus on their core roles.
The WMS’s seamless integration with the ERP system has also improved data accuracy and communication across departments, facilitating better decision-making. Finally, the scalable and adaptable nature of the new WMS provides a solid foundation for our future growth.
